Learn MoreThe Hawaii Foundation for Performance Excellence (HFPE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Mililani, Hawaii. We are part of the national Alliance for Performance Excellence network and serve as Hawaii's official state-level partner of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. Our mission is to help organizations across Hawaii — in business, healthcare, education, government, and the nonprofit sector — achieve higher levels of performance, quality, and organizational effectiveness.
The Baldrige Excellence Framework is a proven, research-based approach to organizational improvement used by thousands of organizations across the United States and around the world. It provides a comprehensive set of criteria for evaluating organizational performance across seven key areas: Leadership; Strategy; Customers; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management; Workforce; Operations; and Results. Organizations that apply the Baldrige framework gain a clear picture of their strengths and opportunities for improvement, enabling them to achieve sustainable, high-level performance.
Our mission is to promote performance excellence in Hawaii by providing organizations with the tools, training, and recognition they need to achieve their highest potential. We envision a Hawaii where every organization — regardless of size, sector, or industry — has access to world-class performance improvement resources and is recognized for its commitment to excellence.
We offer a range of programs and services to help Hawaii's organizations improve their performance and achieve excellence.
Our trained examiners conduct comprehensive organizational assessments using the Baldrige Excellence Framework, providing detailed feedback reports that identify an organization's key strengths and most important opportunities for improvement. Assessments are available for organizations of all sizes and sectors.
We offer workshops, seminars, and training programs on the Baldrige Excellence Framework and related performance improvement methodologies. Our training programs are designed for leaders, managers, and quality professionals who want to build their organization's capacity for continuous improvement and excellence.
The Hawaii Excellence Award recognizes organizations across Hawaii that have demonstrated outstanding performance and commitment to excellence using the Baldrige criteria. Award recipients serve as role models for other organizations and help spread the culture of performance excellence across the state.
